('Daisy' went home with Lorri, January 6, 2022 )

The family at Wenger Acres has been a blessing to deal with as a breeder from start to finish. Our first time ever dealing with a breeder and everything went smoothly. They had amazing communication and quick response. Very upfront with what they expect from a potential owner as well as being extremely helpful in the process of getting “Daisy” (now Alice) to become part of our family. We rcvd pics of her progress before becoming of age, upon receiving puppy, she was healthy, happy, and well fed. Our vet said she was perfect and the breeder did a great job of raising her from birth Thank you to all the Wenger’s involved in making Alice become ours. 5 stars all the way!!!

Just wanted to drop you a quick note Sophia is an angel, she absolutely loves attention. She liked to go on car rides with us and camp with us. She’s definitely a little diva. I appreciate you and your family for breeding collies. I’ve always been a huge collie person and after mine passed away when I was in high school I never thought I would find another one. Collies are so hard to find these days, and you never see many people with a collie. So everywhere we go with Sophia everyone is just shocked to see a collie. So again I appreciate you all so much for what you do just so us collie lovers have a place to find a collie. Here’s a picture of Sophia a few weeks ago at the park. She’s growing like crazy! 😊 -S. ('Finley' went home with Tammy May, 2020)

Hello Elisabeth,
Finley turned 6 months old on the 9th. He is doing so well, healthy, happy and growing up fast. He now weighs close to 12 lbs. He is certainly spoiled, but loved very much! He just went last week for his first professional groom as you will see in his before and after picture at the end. I can’t thank you enough for Finley “Cuddles.” He has truly been a blessing to my family and I. Hope you all are doing well. Take care! Tammy and 'Finley' |

"Just wanted to drop you a quick note to tell you how much we love our new puppy. We have named her Colleen, a common Irish based name, in a tribute to the Collie ancestry. We have already taken Colleen to the vet and signed up for puppy classes at Petco. Colleen is the ideal pet with a calm temperament but with puppy mischievousness. We have pretty much got her house trained and sit command, working on come, off, and down. I related this to you to let you know we are aware that the positive traits Colleen has is a direct reflection of her breeding. We compliment you on an excellent breeding outcome. Thank you again."

('Curly' went home with Kimberly May, 2020)

Hi Elisabeth!
We adopted “Curly” from you in early May, and I just wanted to give you an update on him. He is a GREAT dog! He is now 5 months old, almost 10 pounds, and he has been a wonderful addition to our family. He has been house trained for about a month. It wasn’t too bad – we just needed to be very diligent about taking him out a lot. He loves to be with us and play with us. He has gotten very attached to me in particular, so I take him with me a lot! He loves riding in the car and going wherever I go. The kids and my husband just adore him. He is so cute! He is also very smart. We brought in a dog trainer, and within a month he knew a half dozen commands. Of course, he doesn’t shed, and he only barks when ‘he should’ (not very often). I can’t imagine having any other breed than a Havanese. He is as healthy as can be! We never had any problems with parasites or anything. We are so happy that we were fortunate enough to get him. Thank you so much! -Kimberly |

"Good Afternoon. My dad really loves his pup. He named it Jordan and he wanted me to send you pictures of how Jordan is doing with the family. He thanks you. There is a picture of Jordan with our other collie, Rita and Rita likes him. Thank you again for this opportunity on letting us have Jordan."

("Fig" went home with Michelle to MD in May, 2020)
|
Fig is such a good pup and doing very well. He loves spending time with us in the yard and playing around – running, finding sticks, and chasing the boys. House training is also going quite well! Here is a picture of Fig. He loves to hide under the bushes in the yard for shade.
We wanted to let you know how well he was doing and how much we enjoy having him! -Michelle |
"Franky" and "Teddy" went home with Patrick to Arlington, VA in May, 2020
|
Hello, Gordon!
I wanted to give you an update on our boys. Franklin/Franky (formerly Sparky) and Theodore/Teddy (formerly Simba) are happy, healthy and wonderful! I call them “my Roosevelt boys”! At 5 months old, they are more than 50 pounds each! Their veterinarian thinks they are likely to get close to 80 pounds each! They are strong, lean, playful, smart, and a constant joy in our family. We am grateful to you and your family for bringing these beautiful collies into this world and playing an important role in God’s plan to have these boys become part of our family! I hope that you and your family are well! God bless you! -Patrick |
('Snuggles' went home with Mark Burleson May, 2020)
|
We wanted to reach out and share some pics of Snuggles (Bud) Burleson. Snuggles has adapted well and is now fully potty trained. He now has full roam of the house and is very well behaved outside of finding a paper towel and shredding it into 1000 pieces in less than one minute. His best friend is my sister in laws dog named Toby who is a 5 year old Havanese. They spend a fair amount of time together and enjoy each other’s company. Snuggles has recently (last 3 months) to barking at other dogs walking by. Up until then, he rarely barked ever. We have had no health issues. He gets professionally groomed every 6 weeks. At first, he did not enjoy this process, he has since came around to it. He always looks so good after a haircut. As you can see, he has remained predominantly all white. What has been very surprising is that his fur is still as super soft as it was when we first picked him up. Everyone who pets snugs comments on how incredibly soft he is. He weighs 8.5 lbs and the vet thinks he is about full size now. Snugs really enjoys chasing the tennis ball. His favorite thing in the world is to snuggle though. He is a world class cuddle dog and will let you pet him for an hour solid.

("Seamus" went to Palm Coast, FL with Kevin and Nancy)
|
"This picture is of our collie Seamus McCu. My wife Nancy and I bought our Seamus from Gordon Wenger. Seamus is a year old now and is a wonderful dog. He loves to run and play. He loves to eat too but you can take the food right out of his mouth and he will let you. He loves other dogs and children. He is not aggressive. He is wonderful company and will actually sit and watch TV with us. We were watching a movie called “A dog’s journey’ and in one scene the star dog got hit by a car Seamus ran to the TV and was crying watching the dog limp away.
We are very happy that we got Seamus from Gordon Wenger. He is a wonderful dog with no health problems. He is great company. We can’t imagine Seamus not being in the house. He has become a big part of our family. This is Seamus on his one year Birthday." -Kevin and Nancy |
("Daffodil" went to her new home in VA November, 2019)
|
“Hi Gordon!
First, so great to meet you and your lovely family. Our trip home went without a hitch, and Daffodil is settling in beautifully. You guys have done a wonderful job with your dogs. If it’s ok with you, I’d like to recommend you to my school, and my friends here in Richmond. I don’t think anyone could ask for a better experience. I told the kids I’d send pictures as Daffodil grows up, so I’ll be in touch now and then. Thanks so much for letting us adopt this little girl. :-)" -John |
